We've found Dunkin Donuts, only 3 miles from our place, so we drive down for our iced coffees every morning. I have been getting my scalp sunburned, and needed a ball cap, so down to Target to find a hat of some nature. They had a very small selection of hats and ball caps, but did pick up a ball cap for $15. Our next stop was Walgreens, and of course, they had ball caps for $5 apiece. It figures...
Spent more time at the pool today. Weather has been great - In the 80's almost every day, and sunshine, sunshine, and more sunshine. Supposed to get rain on Friday, so think we're going to go to a big flea market near here. Just have to figure out where it is. No Sheila, you can't fill up the back seat of the Mercedes with "treasures" to haul home.
Haven't seen any more damned snakes in the area, but did see one on the road leaving the complex. It already had tire tracks on it, and I felt a few more tire tracks were senseless. It was kinda messy anyway. For the last couple of evenings, we have seen a rabbit coming out of the brush and swamp behind the lanai. He sure can't be what ever has been making the noises after dark. We did hear people have seen armadillos all around us and they could be the source of the night noises in the brush. The noises sound like its something huge, and an armadillo big enough (and probably stupid enough) to mate with a Great Dane might actually be the source of the sounds(?). K
Ken found pool noodles in our condos storage closet so all set for advanced water aerobics on Friday, weather permtting.
This is a picture of the Miromar Mall, a place close to my heart and apparently Kens' too as he puts our photos in our blog. He'd have you thinking he doesn't even like the Mall, HUH!!
So far have read 3 good books, almost done another, it seems I have so much more time here to do fun things, wonder why?
Tonight for supper had Portobello mushrooms, and other vegetables, delicious. Made a fresh fruit salad for dessert, yummy. Fruit and veggies we've had above average! S

ReplyDeleteSometimes it is good to be "lazy bones" and not feel guilty about it. Remember the song, "Lazy Bones sleeping in the sun , etc. etc.
ReplyDeleteWould you recommend the three books you read Sheila.
Love chocolate donuts but haven't had one in years. The older we get, the lighter we eat. Sometimes, we just eat veggies for dinner.
